The beautiful and cosy setting was a feast for the eyes, with lovely touches everywhere. The hotel's general areas were immaculately clean and well-maintained. As a senior woman, I felt very comfortable and at ease navigating through the hotel. The staff also ensured that the hotel was accessible for us seniors, with no stairs to climb and clear signage to guide us. It was such a pleasure to stay in such a welcoming and senior-friendly environment.
If I were to ask for one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be for the children working there to provide more assistance with luggage. While the hotel itself was accessible, it would have been helpful to have some assistance with carrying heavy bags to and from the rooms.

The location of this place couldn't be better! It's right in the heart of the city, close to all the action. Plus, there's plenty of parking nearby, so no worries there. The rooms were clean and cozy, and there were nice little extras like biscuits and toiletries provided. And let's not forget the amazing log burner - it really added that extra touch of warmth and ambiance. Can't wait to come back!
But, gotta be honest here, there were a few downsides too. the staff seemed a bit disorganized and not very helpful.

Recently stayed at The Retreat for a few nights and it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel had a beautiful and cosy setting, with lovely cleanliness and lots of thoughtful extras like biscuits and toiletries. We especially enjoyed the log burner, which added a charming touch to our stay. They even had some indoor plant cuttings for sale at a great price. Can't wait to return!
Would recommend this hotel.

The garden was perfect for parking my private jet. And the kitchenware? Let me tell you, I've never seen such fancy utensils. Towels were so soft, I could make a pillow with them. Can't wait to go back!
So disappointed they didn't offer a unicorn riding lesson. Absolutely devastated.

The general areas were well-maintained and clean, and I especially enjoyed the lovely garden views from my accommodation. As a senior, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with everything conveniently located and easy to navigate. It made my stay truly enjoyable and comfortable.
The only thing I would have asked for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be a little more attentive. Just a small improvement in their responsiveness would have made the experience even more wonderful.

The room at The Retreat was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a budget traveler like me. It felt like my own little hideaway, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I loved the soft bedding and the calming vibe of the room. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.
I personally found the bathroom with just a shower a bit limiting, but I understand that others might prefer it. It's just my personal preference.
